Mazara del Vallo is one of the most historically important tourist destinations in Sicily. Some of the most interesting points of reference include: the cathedral , which was built in the Norman times and then later modified to the Baroque style, and which has numerous pieces of art inside it; Piazza della Repubblica, which is surrounded by 18th Century buildings and the Palazzo Vescovile; the Seminario dei Chierici; and the Dancing Satire statue in the Sant’Egidio church.
Not far from the city is the Lake Preola and Gorghi Tondi Integral Nature Reserve which is made up of small lakes, and from here it is easy to reach the Palazzo Vescovile and all of the points of interest in the province of Trapani: Marsala, Trapani, Erica, the Belice Valley and the large archaeological park Selinunte.
